And OP did speak his opinion unto the people, and the people were massively fucking indifferent.

Meh. It's changed a lot in the past week. You can definitely tell the IP2 people took up residence there. It used to be funny meme's, now it's just race-baiting cringe.

I will say, the reddit ban-wave certainly changed how I consume news aggregators, or whatever they even call sites like this now-a-days. Which is good, I suppose. I am more of a tourist than I used to be. I'm like the native Americans, riding around on my keyboard little pony, setting up my teepee for a few days, then moving on. Because I have the attention span of a gnat.

Lmao, you are not like the Natives, Karen. You gnat

You gnat

That's me. Just looking for a pecker to swarm.

I like that there are no down-votes here.
That really makes the posts and ideas more diverse, and more intelligent.
This is what the plan was for this website.

No downvotes just allows whomever was first to dominate discussion.

Even on reddit - I would often reply to a heavily upvoted post, and btfo them with facts - only to see my comment rise, and their upvoted post to go into the dumpster. To be able to pull that off, in Marxistville homeland was truly awesome.

The problem with reddit was the admin level bans, rules - and who controlled the subs. It was never the downvote feature.

[–]zyxzevn 8 insightful - 2 fun8 insightful - 1 fun9 insightful - 2 fun -  (2 children)

I disagree.
On reddit I am usually downvoted beyond the bottom.
On Saidit I am still somewhere in the middle or even on the top.
This means that I am able to give a good argument that might conflict the narrative or the fake news.

On reddit a majority of the posts are completely dominated by click-farms, bots and reposts.
And manipulations by the admins.
Some discussions on reddit are only interesting after sorting on "controversial".

Weather your arguements get more traction and upvoted and weather you deserve it is anecdotal at best.

[–]bobbobbybob 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

as are reports of your intelligence

[–]Karen 3 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

You do realize the posts are still sorted by upvotes here, right? They're not in chronological order.

[–]Sand313man 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

First comment has more upvotes and will continue to accumulate at arguably a faster rate just for being first.

That’s what happens when no downvote.

My experience with reddit is the opposite where those with the correct knowledge will get down voted by the masses likely because in obscure areas the masses are all wrong, think the Galileo situation

[–]Papitas 12 insightful - 1 fun12 insightful - 0 fun13 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

I don't think neither Ruqqus nor Saidit creators envisioned their sites to be reddit's dumpster, anyway.

[–]DorianRawlinson 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

They are alternatives. Without alternatives reddit is free to completely control the narrative. A power btw it should not have and should be and probably is illegal.

You're welcome to it. Anyone who uses the term alt-right or diet coke or whatever the fuck doesn't remember anything beyond 5 years ago anyway. You can happily play within the overton window over there with your epic discussions about owning liberals and commies in your ZOG shithole of a country.

That being said, there is a ton of shitposting on here now.

Ruqqus allows, like Zionist owned Bitchute, for user to "own" liberal ""commies" and talk about the left and right but start talking about the Likudniks and actual ZOG and you'll get banned, IP-geo-blocked. Gab.ai is also Zionist owned and censors as well.

Find out who the owner os and then you'll know.

Well, the more choice, the better. I say this as an alt-lite nice guy. Enjoy the site.

[–]christnmusicreleases 7 insightful - 4 fun7 insightful - 3 fun8 insightful - 4 fun -  (0 children)

I'm a fan of both platforms, and I think they both have a place in the ecosystem. Saidit seems to draw from a more diverse range of backgrounds, while Ruqqus is perhaps more right-leaning (at least, in my experience). Also, if one site goes down, where else will you go, but the other? I mean you got Gab, but honestly it feels so beta. There are a few alternative Twitter clones too, like Minds, and Flote, as well as a few forums of note and Facebook alternatives, but honestly, they don't seem to have much of a community in comparison.

Sites like Voat, Poal, and heck even TheDonald are run by extreme control freaks, why settle there, when you enjoy such freedom here?

[–][deleted] 8 insightful - 2 fun8 insightful - 1 fun9 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

It's 90% memes though and has a shitty UI similar to new reddit.

[–]Leo_Littlebook[S] 3 insightful - 3 fun3 insightful - 2 fun4 insightful - 3 fun -  (0 children)

The memes are good, though. And the comments are surprisingly insightful, at least on my posts.

Which isn't meaningful when Magnora has his thumb on the scales of the primary debate: the one between the Alt-Right and the race-denialists

Seems like a false dichotomy to me.

I'm also on ruqqus and enjoy the site, but I've hidden a bunch of meme guilds that don't interest me. I wish there was more variance in opinions, as often people that disagree with the group consensus get downvoted. I feel like there is more open debate here, and not having downvotes plays a positive role in that. I don't frequent the sub, but there is /s/debatealtright which seems to fit what you're looking for. Personally I have no interest in staying in an echo chamber where everyone agrees with me.

Ultimately, I think free speech platforms will need to become decentralized, federated, and pseudo-anonymous to combat censorship by governments and cancelling by service providers.

[–]Leo_Littlebook[S] 6 insightful - 2 fun6 insightful - 1 fun7 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

It's not a false dichotomy. The options aren't presented as comprehensive.

s/debatealtright was removed from s/all by magnora, presumably illegitimately. It thus is dead and irrelevant.

Ruqqus allows downvotes

So before you know it, AHS will register their sockpuppet armies there and Ruqqus will descend into yet another hellhole of downvoting brigades.

[–][deleted] 5 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 0 fun6 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Ruqqus is racist af. I like this place a lot better.

Our alexa rank has been frozen for months for some reason. If you use sitecompare we're still ahead of ruqqus.

No we haven't, I've just been banning you repeatedly because you keep breaking the rules and evading previous bans

    [–]DorianRawlinson 4 insightful - 3 fun4 insightful - 2 fun5 insightful - 3 fun -  (0 children)

Would be great if you just collapsed comments instead of deleting them.

I have come to the same conclusion myself. And help is simply non-existent here on Saidit. I asked /s/help for assistance three weeks ago, and never got a response. I asked Magnora personally for help, but he either could not or would not, and I never got an answer either way.

    See you over there!

I've just tried Ruqqus, and feels much more alive. I plan to focus my participation there henceforth.

and no one cares. fuck off

      cry me a river.

history of people baiting to complain, gaining power through bitchin wore thin real fast. technique failed here, which makes complaining pointless unless actually legit. pedant rule abuse fails.

Zionist owned, what do you expect.
