From the article, they're literally admitting that they need children to believe in trans to increase their numbers.See this quote "We don’t need brain scans that cost thousands of dollars to legitimize or diagnose trans people; if we inform children about trans identities and remove stigmas that keep trans people marginalized, we can already validate the genders of trans kids free of cost simply by asking them who they are."

If there's some objective physical standard by which we can diagnose being "transgender" that's basically game over for the "movement" naturally. I very much doubt that there is (I reject the entire concept of "gender" as anything with a basis in material reality) but if there was, it would remove the ability of people to use "trans identification" as a way to supercede social norms.

It would also basically cement the notion it's a mental illness since if you can do a brain scan and figure it out that would be pretty conclusive as to it's mental nature.

Course I maintain that while sex based differences in brains likely exist on a statistical basis, since everyone is different anyway it's a pretty silly concept. Your brain is yours. I don't even know how you'd go about trying to figure out what is a typical "man" brain, or a typical "woman" brain.

Honestly there are some interesting links with grey matter and body identity integrity disorder, so it's possible that there's a link there with being trans too. Less of a man brain/woman brain thing and more of a your brain might be mapping itself wrong issue.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Body_integrity_dysphoria mentions it and I do think it'd be a useful avenue to explore due to how similar a lot of this sounds.

when was it again that they dumped dysphoria as a requirement? 2015? they even said "it's cruel to force people to have this painful condition to qualify!" (but then always invoking that pain whenever someone said no to them)

I mean it's almost George Lucas poetry how men-who-didn't-really-want-to-be-women and male-female couples chased the actual trans and gays out of the Alphabet

Completely idiotic. Sounds like a good way to clog up the medical system with people who don't need treatment. Like someone with dysphoria may actually benefit from therapy or research into the condition but any of the people not actually suffering will throw it off.

"Free of cost"

That quote does not even come CLOSE to saying what you claim it does

lol. Whenever the brain scan argument was brought up, I'd say would you agree to use it to screen out false gender ID claims? Then crickets.

The same arguments already came and went for using scientific tests to prove homosexuality.

I actually bought up this topic when the subject was about detrans.A TRA said to me that"Detrans people weren't really trans and didn't actually suffer from gender dysphoria".So i asked them if brain scans truly showed that trans people really do have the opposite sex's brains then why don't doctor's do a simple brain scan to see who's really trans and who's someone who's suffering from another issue and the response i got was"That's a really bad idea".When i asked why, i never got a response.

Cause most of them are fakers and fetishists and know that means they wouldn't get special treatment.

At least if you were talking about it on reddit in any of the LGBTQwhatever subs.

Isn't answering the question "do you like to suck cock" scientific enough to prove homosexuality? Lol

Til my wife is a homosexual.

Like if it actually worked you'd have a much easier time diagnosing? Just pop them in the MRI machine and you'd only have people that are actually trans, not people that think they are.

I also think most people would be fairly chill with it because if we know what causes it we get closer to being able to fix it. Preferably without mutilating people. Like imagine you find out a brain zap in the right place cures it and all they need is that? Considering people with depression have said it works for them as a reset it's possible it works for other things.

(((They))) don't want an objective measure, because (((their))) whole shtick is using "identity as reality".

Because, as long as that "identity" is 'valid', they can subvert the traditional civil-rights framework, which only allows protected-class status for immutable characteristics, such as race, sex, national-origin, etc.

But allowing behaviors, feelings and lifestyle choices to gain the power of law-enforcement in forcing "acceptance", has been the plan all along.

Homosexuality is also not well understood scientifically but at least there are clear observable behaviors that can be used to pretty objectively tell if someone is homosexual or not. You could get into the same "identity" quagmire there once you make it about how you feel rather than what you do.

If a stereotypically gay effeminate man exclusively has sex with women. Is that man gay? What if he insists he is gay? Who are you to tell a gay man in a heterosexual relationship that he isn't gay?

[–]Node 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (3 children)

What if he insists he is gay?

Take him to the highest place.

Downtown east side. That is the highest part of the province.

everyone's noticed that the share of people who want to have sex with the same sex, or have an overwhelming need to dress and have the body of the opposite sex, has stayed exactly the same, while the queer-nonbinary numbers exploded (but only among leftish college humanities undergrads)

reminds me of the "everyone's either bi--or in denial!" wave of the late 70s

The "trans brain" is a myth, they're just gay.
