James? Benjamin? My friend. These are names of the penis. Do we really need to give an explanation as to why feminists would attack them?

Here's the thing, while feminists may indeed be right about certain things including the fact that trans-women shouldn't immediately get a carte blanche to access all women's spaces. They are still radical feminists which means they hate men and are generally crazy.

The surface layer of feminism seems very reasonable and fair, and most people would agree with that, women deserve the right to vote, get jobs, have access to public services, etc. But these radical feminists go very far beyond that, we used to call them Femnazis because some were indeed arguing that men need to be rounded up into camps and kept separate from the women. Which is a hilariously silly solution of segregation that mirrors the reality in countries that actually could benefit from some mild first wave feminism like (insert caliphate of choice here).

They are men telling women what to do.

That's it.

So much for patriarchy

I don't know about James Lindsay. I think the Grievance Study authors have never been a favorite of the Ovarit crowd. Benjamin Boyce has a lot of female followers. There was some controversy with GC feminists accusing him of being overly flirtatious with female guests. He has made certain jokes that raise the ire of overly sensitive types. He's also somewhat socially conservative and hosts AGPs on his channel. Some GCers like Kellie-Jay Keen have zero tolerance for AGPs.

Yeah, I did see AGP being mentioned in a lot of tweets but couldn’t track down the starting point (hence asking here). Now it seems they’ve moved on to calling Lindsay a small dicked hobbit with erectile dysfunction. So I think the argument has degenerated into name calling.

Funny. For the group that gets the most deeply offended when their own valuation as a person is based solely on their bodies, they're quick off the line to weaponize insults against the bodies of others.

Remember: a quote from Herber Marcuse - Repressive Tolerance, one of the most influential essays ever written

"Liberating tolerance, then, would mean intolerance against movements from the Right, and toleration of movements from the Left."

It's not hypocrisy when they do this. They really do believe that their own thoughts should be tolerated up to and including violence, and that it is no problem to censor others. Their rules are for us to follow, not them. And they've got a half century of heavyweight intellectuals backing them up.

True. The reason they became the front line against TRAs is because they are trigger happy to attack male anything. Most people were still "trying to be nice" to the few transgender people you were aware of but the hint of a Y chromosome entering the chat sent them attacking the AGPs.

That's one positive effect that Saidit has had on me. I can quote the Pyramid of Debate by heart now and know that name-calling is just someone who has lost an argument.

I love being on other sites that allow image posts and displaying the PoD and pointing out that they're on the lower levels, then quoting my own argument and pointing out it's near the top. It's a great way to invite a ban.

There was a Genderspec conference with some APG attendees.

There was a photo of one in a skirt go spinny dress which triggered women who still can't accept male sexuality is a thing (the other AGPs were less stereotypical).

Then a transwidow had a sob story that they had tried to trick (invite) her into a group photo with the AGPs which is a terrible thing because she is a victim so can't be in the same room as them without crumbling into a pile of ash.

I guess the whole issue is whether you really think that AGP is a special case which needs to be excluded when you have men all around you perving over you and other things all the time in a less obvious way.

Was James Lindsay at the conference or did he say something online to trigger them?

Feminists were never friends. They're the same hateful pieces of shit they always were.

Never forget the RF in TERF stands for "radical feminist". The tiger doesn't change his stripes. Amanda Marcotte wrote that anyone questioning the presumption of guilt in the Duke lacrosse non-rape case was “rape loving scum”.

No such rape happened and the accuser later murdered a man. She's still in prison today.

I took a quick glance and it looks like it's because they supported letting a guy who is openly AGP show up at a conference in drag to talk about how he accepts it as a fetish as some kind of contrarian counterpoint to "true trans".

And like...IDK how to feel about that. He's still parading his fetish in public and making other people unwilling participants of it. Just because he's admits it's pretend doesn't make it not creepy and coercive. He's trying to do some pick-me shit while still getting off illicitly.

The point is that fetishes shouldn't leave the bedroom/place of mutual consent, not that they're okay if you admit you're merely a perv but not fully delusional.
