Why aren't the events that led up to the sanctions being blamed?

Yep. What about the millions of dollars that the socialists themselves admitted that were lost in corruption, the family members of Maduro being caught with 20$ million worth of Cocaine being transported from Venezuela to Haiti to the US, or the millions of dollars worth that the socialists themselves have in the US in terms of both properties and bank accounts?

Non of this gets any attention. All we get is the socialists are good guys, the US doesn't let them work biased black and white narrative.

Seriously /u/magnora7 ... Are you following these posts?

The job of the admins is to enforce the Pyramid of Debate, not your personal conception of political neutrality.

So why don't you make some posts that have and back up that information? I'd be interested in seeing it.

What events are you referring to?

The fact that Venezuela has a huge oil basin?

What percentage of deaths is their steadily declining, socialist government responsible for?

I didn't know the US was responsible for supplying Venezuela. So are the US stealing their own produce by refusing to sell it to Venezuela?

No, the US is blocking the purchase of oil from PDVSA. Chavez (Maduro's predecessor) steered the Venezuela economy towards heavy reliance on oil exports. With the US blocking oil exports, Venezuela has a hard time paying for and importing things not made in Venezuela like medicines.

Report: US Sanctions Have Cost 40,000 Venezuelan Lives

Based on a number of different studies, the report estimates that sanctions were responsible for 40,000 deaths in 2017-2018, and that there are a further 300,000 people at risk due to lack of access to medicines. This includes “80,000 HIV patients who have not had antiretroviral treatment since 2017, 16,000 people who need dialysis, 16,000 people with cancer, and 4 million with diabetes and hypertension.”

This is nice and all, but nothing matters anymore.
