I was impressed with Tucker Carlson's willingness to confess just how out of touch the elites in DC are from the rest o the country. He wrote the op-ed after Trump was elected, and he showed a good deal of empathy for average Americans. Despite some of his other political positions, I appreciated his work here. The article is linked below, but his later book, Ship of Fools contains a more fleshed out analysis.
