Guys i think the reason why RFK decide to do the debate is because he did watch Grayzone live stream where Max debunk RFK interview with jimmy, so he will be ready for Max. There is no way Jimmy would have got that message live if RFK staff is not watching those shows

He didn't "appear to backtrack". He did backtrack. He seemingly re-agreed via a private text message to Jimmy.

We're still waiting on an official confirmation, given that the last official confirmation of anything is still that "RFK is not debating anyone except Biden". Which is up there on the list of the stupidest things that campaign managers can say, but very much in line with the DNC (i.e. not a good thing).

If RFK ends up actually overriding the morons in charge of his campaign and does have a discussion with Max about this (soon, not a year from now), then kudos to him.

He'll get his ass handed to him, obviously, but at least he'll show that he does have the courage to stand up and defend his position even when he knows it's entirely bullshit.

Unlike on vaccines and Ukraine, he doesn't have reality on his side on this one. Would be nice to see how he holds up when faced with Max, who is basically to Israel what RFK is to C19 injections. And even that is doing a disservice to Max. Israel is way more complex than the obvious bullshit that is the C19 narrative.

RFK doing this interview is pretty much the best if not only chance that his campaign has of closing up this entire fuckup, even if it means taking the hit then going from there. And then maybe he'd finally drop this Israel shit and start refocusing on the topics he's actually good on.

His campaign has what, about 6 months left to go, max? When is super "let's pick the next establishment whore" tuesday 2024?

I followed Max's reporting before he got big...

He's written books on Israel and the prevailing families before 2015.

RFK does not stand a chance.

Only if you think the purpose of debating is to crush your opponent.

AFAIK RFK Jr. has repeatedly said he's willing to change his views in light of new or better information.

Given that every president since Truman has done Israel's bidding, all I ask is that you hold RFK Jr. to the same standards that you've held all other presidents. Perhaps it would be balanced to acknowledge that Israel is the only quasi-democracy in the region while correctly identifying their wrongdoings.

Yup, but RFK dug his own hole there. Up to him to own it or to flee from it. Either choice will say a lot.

He said to Glenn that he was willing to revisit his opinions based on the facts of what Israel has been doing.

He said to Jimmy that he was willing to discuss the topic with Max.

Max is extremely knowledgeable on this topic, so that's a great choice, and Jimmy was well-inspired to push this interview on RFK.

This would let everybody see if RFK actually means what he says and can change his opinions when presented with facts, or if he's just another establishment democrat.

Or if he actually means the other things that he's also saying and is just a pro-imperialism zionist bitchboy.

He's got one chance to fix his self-made Israel debacle, and it's to come out of an interview with Max looking at least principled and willing to change his views when they're obviously and demonstrably wrong.

He's not getting out of this a winner, that's a given. He can still come out of it as somebody that anti-establishment leftists could want to support, without having to convince themselves that zionism isn't a big deal.

Good summary. I'm not sure why RFK would agree to do this publicly. It's only going to harm him. If I were RFK I would have private conversations acknowledging the other's points and say he needs to be a politician now.

Personally I think RFK Jr is more in line with Max than is publicly acknowledged, but wants to limit the battles he's fighting.

RFK Jr. Agrees (Again)To Interview w/ Max Blumenthal About Israel!

When Robert F. Kennedy Jr. recently appeared on The Jimmy Dore Show, he expressed a number of wildly pro-Israeli talking points and spin, depicting Palestinians as terrorists and Israel as the injured party in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Jimmy suggested RFK take the issue up with Max Blumenthal, and Kennedy agreed. He later appeared to backtrack on the commitment, but during Friday's show texted Jimmy to say he would follow through.

Jimmy Dore and Craig Jardula talk to Max about whether RFK will be true to his word or he will duck the proposed conversation.
