I'm strongly inclined to agree with top-comment:

I don't want to throw cold water on a good news story, but there too few verifiable details in this article to make it credible. There is no reason to withhold most of the facts in the case, and I can find no news or government sources that confirm the events that are asserted. If there were police involved there would be a report. If it "happens all the time" there would be numerous reports. I'm not suggesting that child trafficking doesn't happen frequently, but this smells like a QAnon scam. You owe it to your readers to check sources and confirm your information.

"Saving Kids From PedophilesTM" does seem to have evolved into the Sirrus-base's complement to Achenar's "AllyshipTM" - and some of the imagery in that story is just too reminiscent of any number of '80s movies. We've got the old Manichean terror-zeitgeist fighting the new one, and like all true fundies, they cannot recognize themselves in each other.

Those of us who've been burned by Team-Achenar have really had to reassess our relationship with Team-Sirrus's base, and it's easy in such a state to fall too far to the other side. We MUST retain our critical standards against all comers - after all, was not the reason we "walked away" because we'd long had good and well-articulated reason to hate Sirrus, and were floored when Achenar started manifesting those same qualities (including the most telling of all: responding to criticism with ad-hominem STFUisms)?

Sometimes I agree with Jordan Peterson, sometimes I don't, but in addition to his 12 Rules being generally good, "Remember Why You Started" is especially priceless.

I don't get it. I have it on good authority, from no less than my Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, that truckers are irremediable racists, misogynists, and terrorists who should not be tolerated in our society. Yet here is one catching human traffickers? Does not compute.

Those are Canadian truckers (who are white). American truckers are typically brown or red

So are Canadian truckers. Largely Sikh in fact, that is the ones who aren't red like in your image. They also attacked Canadian truckers as being 'upper-middle class' because so many of them are 'business owners' (self-employed drivers who drive a truck owned by the bank instead of a large trucking company). FFS, they attacked Canadian truckers for being 'Trumpers'.

They're really not far off. Canadian Truckers, rednecks, the Taliban, the CPC, Russians, and the EFF all have the same enemy. Trump simply put a label on the American branch of this pre-existing movement - dare I say the Real Movement - and it scares the shit out of them.

I guess that group is the enemy of about 99% of humanity, so you might as well call me a Trumper too. Though I think it actually makes me Russian, since it's currently Russia that is working most effectively to neutralize this threat against continued human life on planet Earth. Trump had his chance and failed.

I fully expect preventing child trafficking to be classified as racism sometime soon.

Letting any child grow up in a shithole um non-white uh, any poor country is abusive and cruel! They should all be shipped to the West where they definitely won't be sold to the highest bidder.
