R.I.P. Henry Kissinger

🤔
Reside In Purgatory?
Reward: Infinite Perdition?
Rotten Iniquitous Person?

Personally, I think I'd go with "K.A.B. Henry".

Karma's a bitch.

Can't wait for Bernie to eulogize him as a great humanitarian.

I'm remembering the Town Hall televised the night before the 2016 Michigan Democratic primary election. Hillary Clinton started waxing nostalgic about her beloved mentor, Henry Kissinger, and how we need more people like him.

To his credit, Bernie went ballistic, in that cranky way that Bernie used to do a lot more of. "Well, I'm not going to stand here and say good things about Henry Kissinger, I can tell you!"

I don't expect the 2023's version of Bernie to say anything bad about Kissinger. Maybe he'll just make himself scarce while the canonization of St. Henry takes place.

(Bernie ended up winning the Michigan primary handily, to the shock of the corporate news media, who refused to call the election for Bernie until over 90% of precincts had reported in.)

Trying to think of a suitable film clip to post, and I can't. Even cartoonish movie Nazis don't capture the evil that was Kissinger.

How about Dr. Strangelove - "Mein Fuhrer, I can walk!"

Dick (1999) is a hilarious parody of All the President's Men (1976). Dan Hedaya is perfect as Nixon. Saul Rubinek is excellent as Kissinger. The DVD has a hilarious outtake of Nixon and Kissinger praying in the oval office. I could not find it online.

Unfortunately, there are still a whole bunch of them in the US State Dept.

Good. The future is bright. They are still alive to be brought to trial for war crimes.

Past, present and future.

The fact that this one got to a hundred in a country where life expectancy is nowhere near that and going down, and that he got there free instead of rotting in prison, shows that the entire system is designed to protect and care for the worst pieces of shit in the multiverse.

Biden is still president (in name), Obama, Clinton and Bush² are still around, ... The list is unending.
