WikiSpooks is Being Censored at the DNS

If you cannot connect to https://wikispooks.com it could be because the DNS service your web browser uses is refusing to give your browser the wikispooks ip address.

You can avoid this kind of DNS censorship by using a browser like Brave that lets you connect directly to a website by it's ip address (if you know it's ip address)

Dear all,

An anonymous third party has made "an announcement" about the domain registration of Wikispooks, which has caused our current registrar to put it on hold, making wikispooks.com inaccessible.

The site remains as usual, and is still accessible via the numeric IP address. Directly accessing https://198.199.127.59 will confuse browsers (because the https certificate doesn't match the address) -- all browsers should alert you to this, some do allow you to "Add exception" and carry on as normal, others may not.

For now, I recommend the following line to your hosts file:

*198.199.127.59 www.wikispooks.com*

This effectively answers the DNS query before it even gets asked, so will allow you to visit with your normal browsers as normal. The disadvantage is that the left hand number could change at short notice (though it hasn't done so for a year or so). Please share this technique with others who may be interested to visit the site.

I am working on this issue it and hope that it will be cleared up soon and the domain reactivated.

Thanks. It is indeed blocked for me at DNS level.
And via the direct link, I get all kinds of warnings. But luckily I can bypass them.

My internet providers are a piece of crap.
