COVID-19: Rescue dogs shot dead in Australia over coronavirus restrictions

Are you defending the Chinese government with a whataboutist argument? My reference to that government extends more broadly to their cruel activities, not just with dogs. Moreover, the story to which you link was a decision made with one animal shelter, rather than what the Chinese government is doing to "all indoor pets belonging to COVID-19 patients". The two stories don't compare.

Meh, Greece also killed all their stray animals before they hosted the Olympics just for the sake of appearances.

Such attitudes are common, you can't smear a government you don't like already because of them then cry whataboutery when others point out it's pretty standard worldwide outside the UK and US.

No. Tyranny - whether democratic or authoritarian, always looks the same. Big or small, this stuff needs to be stopped.

Look up statecraft. (One stops tyranny with democratic republics.) What's your idea of stopping tyranny in statecraft?

I hope people there realize how stupid and dangerous their governors are and do something to overrule them.

The scare is stupid to begin with, but this is what they should be doing.
