In the midst of the Great Depression:
- in 1932, the People of Wörgl, Austria, launched their own currency.
- in 1933, the Central Bankers of Austria banned the Wörgl currency.
Prior to the ban, the People of Wörgl had proven that
to survive, even thrive, in the depths of the Great Depression:
- the answer was simply: the Community working together
- no external measures were necessary
Hierarchy's ban of the local, bottom-down measure:
Let us dig deeper into them:
Hierarchy's ban essentially served to reimpose on the People their economic i.e. power order - to re-colonize Wörgl:
1. With their 'Fiat Money' & their 'Banking System'
- their monopoly over money creation AND in the process:
- their monopoly to create fiat money with no real limit nor accountability
- their monopoly on who and how to finance (incl. not to finance) with the money that they create
- their monopoly to extract interest on money created
- their monopoly to extract value effectively through the Cantillon Effect of inflation with greatest purchasing power on each injection of new fiat money
- their monopoly to create economic instability through rapid fiat money supply expansion and contraction to create boom-bust cycles as each reset results inevitably in productive assets at artificially depressed fire-sale prices
- their monopoly to pick up productive assets at fire-sale prices
2. With their 'Government' & their 'Banking System'
- their monopoly to burden the People with government debt with no real limit, nor accountability
- their monopoly to extract interest on government debt...
3. With their 'Savings System':
- their monopoly to decide on money which otherwise would have been the local community to decide (individually or collectively)
See: Blackrock, Vanguard, StateStreet
- their monopoly to control the central banks
- their monopoly to control the banks and financial companies
- their monopoly to control all the major corporations
- their monopoly to control the economy: who wins, who loses
- their monopoly to profit from everyone and everything in the economy
The Wörgl currency of 1932 was a true litmus test for Hierarchy:
In banning the currency - during the Great Depression - Hierarchy revealed its true colors:
Hierarchy chose to protect and perpetuate their monopoly powers over grassroots empowerment.
But looking at the foregoing, who could blame them - there was much at stake for them...
Hierarchy can only do what it is designed for - perpetuate power concentration
But let us be clear - the choice is with the People:
Hierarchy or Reciprocity - which shall it be?
For, never the twain shall meet...
Looking back in time, it suddenly becomes clear
Wörgl exposed our mind shackles:
1. "You can't print your own money"
Wörgl: The 'labor scrips' backed by ourselves were good money
The Truth:
the Promise of a Promising Future + Periodic Reckoning
= a Sound Credit AND Currency System
2. "Saving money is important because it provides security, stress relief, and freedom."
Wörgl: "We couldn't have savings, not with the demurrage. Also, we didn't need to. We built & maintained infrastructures that benefitted everyone (i.e. commons) paid for by the money we backed ourselves"
The Truth:
- Wörgl proved savings were unnecessary.
- Savings - pooled externally for Indirect Hierarchical control are weaponized against us
See: Blackrock, Vanguard & StateStreet
3. "Hierarchy knows better / Hierarchy won't hurt our interests"
Wörgl: "Hierarchy confiscated our labor scrips"
Truth: Hierarchy subjugates
4. "Government debt growth is inevitable"
Wörgl: "Government debt? What government debt"
Truth: Government debt growth is 100% avoidable. Government does not need to be in debt.
5. "All of us need to work for an income"
Wörgl: "We can work for our own community for an income"
Truth: It is possible for everyone to have a Basic Life Stipend for Community-organized Life Research & Stewardship Program looking into better Goods and Services (for better efficiency, availability & quality)
6. Worgl did not need mass media to do what they did
THUS
The true lessons from Wörgl:
We are the Saviors we have been waiting for
Let us free ourselves from our mind shackles
Let us free ourselves from our own usurpation
Let us shun our usurpers!
