Unfortunately the entire video is in Mandarin and there aren't any subtitles. However here's the jist of it:
She moved to China when she was 18 to study Chinese. At that time she was 100% Western. After moving to China, her worldview changed. She made Chinese friends and started to understand Chinese culture. In China she dated a Chinese guy and had a good experience.
When she came back to the states, she dated an American guy, but found she wasn't compatible anymore. She felt that Americans take freedom to an absurd level while Chinese people believe in family and community. After living in China and understanding Asian values, she felt that family and respect for elders are important.
She's engaged to a hapa Chinese-British guy who looks Asian
In the West, Asian culture and Asian men are frequently portrayed as misogynistic and backwards. This is part of a campaign of "othering" Asians and making us look bad. But it's interesting how someone who went to China with an open mind adopted some ideas of Asian culture, and found that what they've been told wasn't true at all.
