Keeping tax data secret from tax payers, makes about as much sense as keeping scientific papers paid for by the public hidden from free public view.

If the people paid for something, they should be able to view that thing.

Anything else is not representation, but rather the hallmarks of authoritarianism.

I think when I'm asked to send in a an income tax report, I'll tell them "It's PRIVATE therefore you cannot access it".
