r/duckduckgo - Is DuckDuckGo blocking links to Odysee? DDG censoring Youtube's alternative. Most likely DDG is being paid by google to censor results. I've stopped using DDG. If you use DDG solely to combat censorship, you need to consider user another alternative.

Use http://qwant.com instead. They're Euro, so opposed to the US bullshit. Since we don't care about their Euro-censorship it should be fine.

    There's zero reason to tar and feather them as a shill for this post of all things.

    The link is to a conversation on Reddit. This could also have been posted in /s/MeanwhileOnReddit.

    I make it a general rule not to call anyone shills, but rather call out shill-like behaviour. I'll make exceptions for Chipit, socks, Bob3, and Airbus who obviously have agendas, and even then I rarely call them shills, like today.

        This is certainly not the first post to bring up some of the problems with DuckDuckGo.

        Last week I even mentioned this same problem in a PM when I tried to find the Odysee logo to make a banner for their sub they haven't yet made for some reason.

        I've pinged them and they're free to copypasta our conversation as they see fit - assuming they want to join this unnecessary drama.

          No, you're missing the point. The "shill" label is applied to the person, whether probably or definitely, rather than to their behavior. Replace "shill" with any other insulting label, such as idiot vs idiotic behavior. It makes a big difference. It affects the tone of this discussion/debate/drama. Tone is key. You may have legit reasons to be defensive and protect yourself, not offensive (both meanings), especially as admin you'll need to police yourself above all others.

            By chance are you on the Aspberger's spectrum? I'm ADHD and bipolar and tried to fit in society's cubicle expectations so I took their Big Pharma poisons that destroyed my life and made me a zombie. A doctor who didn't know me for shit told my Mom I was on the spectrum because I paced the halls of the psych ward for lack of anything else to do for 2 weeks. Maybe he was right, if any time on their poisons, but I doubt it. The only good to come from my lost dozen year is that I understand mental "illness" now and can accept and even embrace who I am with all my pros/cons where many of my greatest strengths are simultaneously my greatest weaknesses. That and when crawling out of that pit of despair I had nothing but time and curiosity and pieced together an understanding of the ruling class and their full spectrum dominance.

                      I don't use "site:" but I should. I'm geeky but I guess not enough. Not all normal users are superusers.

                      The point of the OP is that Odysee is no small site, yet the search results are profoundly disappointing and trying to correct the spelling with Odyssey when it's obviously an established entity that should no longer be considered a typo.
