Help me test a theory on how to easily test if your comments are shadow banned on youtube

Yeah I can edit my comments. (And, at least as of pretty recently, I'm not shadowbanned, since I do get a reply once in a while.)

So you could be on to something.

This comment made me realize that they should make shadowbanning a spectrum. Meaning with X probability your comment will be shown. This will make it much harder to detect too.

You can test if you're shadowbanned on Youtube the same way you can test on reddit: Use a private or incognito tab and look for your comment.

Why go through all these extra steps?

    Why ask others to do for you that which you can do yourself both faster and easier?

      Ah, so you didn't just want to test for yourself, you wanted to get others to test for themselves. I gotcha.

      Especially a video with only a few comments, where it's impossible to miss it because the algorithm buried it.

      However, I think he's just interested in figuring out whether or not shadowbanned users have their posts stored in the database at all.

      If the comments show up for anyone at all they're obviously stored in a database. Even if they're not displayed they might be.

      1) BUY A CHEAP PHONE AT A PAWN SHOP... DO NOT LOG IN TO YOUR GMAIL OR ANYTHING RELATED TO YOU ON THAT PHONE. GO TO A PUBLIC WIFI AND LOGIN TO THE WIFI...

      2) POST A COMMENT USING YOUR REGULAR PHONE OR LAPTOP.

      3) CHECK IF YOU CAN SEE YOUR COMMENT USING YOUR PAWN SHOP PHONE.

      I'm shadow banned, most of my comments don't show up at all
