A lot of people know that the US uses a lot of tax money on military budget so I think this is a good historical record of how that money was used by the government.

Yeah when they said spent x about of money repairing a country you didn’t think they actually mean give the country money, create jobs for the people and kick start the economy. it’s just a fancy a way to divert public funds to private companies, but with big guns and jets.

A politician can become a "consultant" to a defense contractor, and that's how they launder bribes right to the politician. Or the politician will just use a "charity" that the money will be given to. See Cl.inton Foundation.
