No disrespect to Hunter S. Thompson if he did end his own life

But this is an interesting conspiracy to consider

He did say:
"They're gonna make it look like suicide."
"I know how these bastards think. I am embarrassed and I am pissed off. I mean to say something."

Hunter S. Thompson, before he died mysteriously, said he believed the government may have been involved in 9/11, and he was concerned. "Hunter telephoned me on Feb. 19, the night before his death. He sounded scared. He'd been working on a story about the World Trade Center attacks and had stumbled across what he felt was hard evidence showing the towers had been brought down not by the airplanes that flew into them but by explosive charges set off in their foundations. Now he thought someone was out to stop him publishing it: "They're gonna make it look like suicide," he said. "I know how these bastards think . . ." - "I am embarrassed and I am pissed off. I mean to say something. I think a lot of people in this country agree with me...we'll see what happens to me if I get my head cut off next week -- it is always unknown or bushy-haired strangers who commit suicide right afterwards with no witnesses."

Hunter S. Thompson is a personal hero of mine. I always thought it was odd he killed himself until recently where my chronic pain has gotten to a point that I don't know how long I can live with it in the years to come. That's what happened to Thompson. He had hip surgery, and constant pain from that. It got to a point that even with copious amounts of drugs he couldn't deal with the pain anymore.

So really, it was euthanasia. If I can hold out to 67 I'll be damned proud of myself.

I think the biggest factor against a conspiracy is that Johnny Depp got really close to Hunter while filming Fear and Loathing -- in fact, Depp has incorporated elements of Thompson's character from that movie into his own persona. He did the whole launch the ashes out of the cannon $21 million dollar funeral. If there was a hint of impropriety in Thompson's death I can't imagine Depp not pursuing that with his then sizable fortune.

edit: I wanted to add that his paranoid remarks may have been driven by "the fear," a state of nervousness and paranoia you get when coming out of a drug or alcohol binge. Afaik he coined the term.

You have too much faith in Depp. He's part of the establishment. He serves the Zionist overlords of Hollywood.

Depp's funeral antics may have been a distraction manoeuvre.

Okay, maybe, but to kill him over 9/11 conspiracies? Lots of people have those.

Few have that influence. Name any celebrity. Even D list celebs who promote 9/11 conspiracies. I can only think of a handful and they're discredited or recanted.

Charlie Sheen did at one point.

That's one of the few I could think of - and I think he recanted.

https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/9-stars-9-11-conspiracy-124015957.html Woody Harrelson is probably the most famous on that list.

That is how I remember it as well. Another victim on the long list of murdered people who said too much with too much reach.

TIL. Thanks.

A lot of people think the government was involved and are out there saying it. Hunter would not have any insider knowledge so his book would be meaningless. These days if you want to get something out you make a YouTube video. People write books to make money, not break stories.

I have no faith in him. I literally just said he had nothing of value to add and only wrote the book for the money.

Any celebrity's opinion and influence is of value - especially a maverick journalist. That's why they're very controlled.
