Due to the Sumerians passing on a lot of their knowledge to other cultures and a lot of that not being exposed nearly as much as they should I think this is a pretty interesting fact.

Gilgamesh and his friend Enkidu end up fighting the bull of heaven in the epic in order to protect the people of Uruk from the wrath of the gods and manage to slay the creature.
