Just ranting re: 9/11

Actually, "conspiracy" isn't even the point for me. It never was. I'm not particularly interested in the theories of whodunnit.

For me, the point has always been one of perception. Watching the videos of the towers falling (which those of us alive since the time have seen so many times) and then listening to the "official explanation" should automatically ring very serious alarm bells in people's common-sense meter. As I said, it doesn't matter to me who did it. But it does matter to me that people wake up to the flagrant lie that buildings with point-source fires would spontaneously disintegrate. That's simply not how the universe works, and that people believe such a thing if they are told it by "authority" means human intelligence is overwhelmingly overestimated.

It's heartbreaking that something impossible (and obviously impossible, with just a shred of "pause-and-think") can be disseminated as "truth" and people don't see the evil of the lie being handed to them.

To tell a big lie is exactly how they achieve their deception. Hitler described this technique in Mein Kampf:

It would never come into their heads to fabricate colossal untruths, and they would not believe that others could have the impudence to distort the truth so infamously.

What fascinated me when I went and read the beginning of Mein Kampf is that Hitler was basically describing what he saw his enemies in the west already doing. It wasn't that he came up with these ideas on his own. He witnessed what made his enemies successful and said, "Yeah, if we want to be powerful like they are, we need to do the same thing." Puts a very different spin on "the big lie" when you realize this was never a Nazi thing. It's a government thing - all governments, always.

Curiously Rumsfeld mentioned that the Pentagon had $2.3 Trillion unaccounted for shortly before this happened. That figured has continued to rise over time:

$10 Trillion missing from the Pentagon and no one knows where it is.

MSU scholars found $21 trillion in unauthorized government spending from 1998 to 2015.

The figure is probably already over $90 Trillion at this point.
