Accepting but one critique of our society sends it on its way out. To accept that "blacks are oppressed by the white man" is to show weakness, and beyond that point no reparations will be enough 'til the wealth of white men has been dissipated and their societies destroyed.

The trouble is, by the time there is a "conversation" about removing monuments, it's already been lost. The underlying moral axioms are accepted by a majority, there's just grumbling about "due process" or "violence" or "our history". New monuments to great white men would not be erected, so through attrition they will all fall eventually.
