AFAIK: wrong house, cops were plain clothes, bust in, boyfriend defends, cops shoot and kill her. Plain and simple murder by cops if you ask me. Her being Black had nothing to do with it.

Duncan Lemp was more egregious but he's not Black so it doesn't count.

No-knock, plain clothes raids are a recipe for cops simply executing whoever they want. Us next is my guess. There should be an EO immediately banning them until further review.

Not to simp for cops but how the hell do you arrive at that? I totally agree with Fitter about No-Knock warrants but they are the law as of now and the cops were doing their job as ordered and were engaged with gunfire and returned in kind as they're trained to do.

Manslaughter or something similar sure but how can they be charged with Murder 1 for doing their job?

I have no strong opinion personally. It's a stupid and pointless loss of life that didn't need to happen but then again these types of incidents happen from time to time. The cops entered and the BF fired at them -- I think justifiably -- and the cops returned fire and killed his GF. Hey ho.

What it has to do with 'systemic racism' or some grand narrative about police brutality against Blacks eludes me.

Yah, boyfriend was a drug dealer btw. This accidental death woudnt have happened if the boyfriend wasnt slingin dope.

Caught in a crossfire.

The boyfriend was a drug dealer. The cops had a warrant to raid his home. They came in and he started shooting, so the cops returned fire. Breonna Taylor, his girlfriend was asleep and caught a bullet.

It’s unfortunate she lost her life, but these are the consequences one faces when they spend their time in relationships with criminals and thugs. Had Breonna Taylor been with a good man who abides by the law, this wouldn’t have happened.

A classic example of both System overreach and the consequences of multiple races sharing the same space. Blacks would be safer if they were driven out.

No knock raids are shit Israelis do to Palestinians and it's evident our police are taking tips from Israeli military on how to police occupied territory

That being said she didn't deserve to die at all but I don't see how this was at all racially motivated
