They did this years ago, like 2012 or 13 or something. I remember when twitter changed from hashtags of different communities purposely getting stuff trending to promote their shit to becoming curated shit top down.

Twitter culture is extremely influential so it doesn't matter how many are participating. The current insane modern left culture is basically an extension of twitter.
