He used to talk about a lot of interesting stuff, especially civilisation, environmentalism, capitalism etc. I don't care about religious arguing stuff so never cared about the pagan vs christian stuff. His interpretations of European myths are interesting, I've got and read 2 of his books; 'Sorcery and Religion in Ancient Scandinavia' and 'Reflections on European Mythology and Polytheism'. His theory of Europeans being neanderthals is also interesting. I'm not some scholar of genetics, myths etc so I couldn't say whether his theories are true or not but they are interesting and have some grains of truth. For example I saw studies showing that neanderthal DNA correlated to a bunch of stuff that is more prevalent in whites than anyone else. Another thing I saw recently was that the neanderthal sample geneticists were comparing everyone to where whites have 2-5% shared dna with them was actually from central Asia so European samples would be much closer of course.

I don't care for the infighting stuff of like meds vs nords, christians vs pagans and shit like that he gets into but his insights on civilisation, technology, capitalism, liberalism, self sufficiency etc were great. I disagree with his 'solution' IE there is no solution and we should just go off grid and wait for collapse but I don't think people shouldn't do that either, I think people should become self sufficient but also create a parallel society (mafia-esque, like jews have) and attempt to build a mass movement (NSDAP, PNF, Iron Guard).

Thanks for your answer, I had doubts about the guy because of the infighting thing and know that I know that he thinks that there's no solution I've made my opinion about him which is not really a good one, we don't need cowards who already surrendered and think that there's no hope, with that attitude our ancestors would have died thousands of years ago and we would not be here.

If you enjoyed speculative history about Neanderthals, you'll probably enjoy this book. It's well-sourced but ultimately speculative/interpretive.

I think so. It's a bit schizo but still a fun jaunt. Especially if you like sweeping meta narrative. It's takes about 60-90 minutes to read. Starts a bit slow but gets good in the middle and end. It's a series of blog entries so you have to click the link at the bottom of each section. I'm curious what your take on it is. I bring it up because if I remember correctly is has some mention of Neanderthals. I really enjoy antediluvian alt history theories and the Neanderthal predation theory is in that camp.

I like the idea of Varg more than Varg himself. He's got interesting ideas and a cool lifestyle but you've got to take him with large lump of salt. He's sort of unproductively hostile to anyone pro-white who doesn't share his same ideas. Ideas like "Europeans are the descendants of Neanderthals" is like 5% true at best

That 5% thing is what i was referring to, apparently they're comparing to central asian samples rather than european ones so neanderthal dna could be higher, not sure by how much though

He's a double edged sword. On the one hand, he's based and says quite a few very true and poignant things, and he's spawned some pretty good memes. However, on the other hand, he's described himself a Satanist if I am not mistaken (Now, Paganism I can reconcile with a little bit at least, but outright Satanism is 100% against the ideals and ideas of our movement), is the king of brewing internal strife within the movement (He isn't unique here, but definitely not an amazing trait), and the whole convoluted music shit and murder acse aren't a shining feature either.

Yeah, black metal isn't my thing either. That isn't nearly as important of his actions/personality as the other stuff anyway though, imo.

Since nobody else has said it, I guess it falls to me. Euronymous was human garbage and deserved what he got, and I dare anybody to argue otherwise. You can argue killing him was wrong and illegal yada yada, and that's true, but honestly, I'm not shedding any tears for him. A simple look at his character and the things he did should wipe any sympathy you may have had away.

I like him, great music, lives an ideal life (at least now). I like a lot of his ramblings on Environmentalism, Paganism, etc. I was genuinely pissed when YouTube banned him. His wife's channel is still up, and it has some pretty wholesome, white-pilling content.

Not a fan of his Nordicism though. Don't get me wrong, all the European subraces (and all races, for that matter) should be preserved, but I'm pretty sure in-group preference would ensure that anyway (the mass-interbreeding we see now is being reinforced via ruthless brainwashing). Plus, given the current state of the White race, I'd rather an English person start a family with, say, a Greek than a Turk, at least the kid would be White, which is the main goal right now. Also, he's a massive drama queen, he just can't accept people disagreeing with him. The guy non-stop slings shit at guys like Survive the Jive and The Golden One simply because they want to work with Christians (even though Varg himself happily accepted donations from Christians for some legal issues) and constantly tries to start pissing-matches over minute, insignificant details with other figures on the Right.

Despite all that though, it's hard not to like the guy. When he's not acting pissy and being a bitch (although I wouldn't say it to his face), he's very charming and wholesome in general.
