I'd offer to pass laws that disconnected Chicago political control from the rest of the state. I'd also run on a platform that traditional republicanism is cucky and weak and populist Tucker style republicanism (that actually gets shit done) is the future.

The majority of the state population lives in Chicago and surrounding counties and if your talking about separating the area from the rest of the state, then the rest of the states Electoral vote will collapse.

A hard separation wouldn't be politically feasibly but there are small things you could do to de-yoke Cook county from the other counties.
