Food shortages have always been a Communist problem. In the West (where I live), it is not hard to come by.

I was trying to wonder why you thought that. USSR definitely starved their people. Still doesn't change the facts. USA didn't care about that. They starved more after the USSR collapsed though.

You have proof that modern Russians are all starving to death? Can I see it?

Edit: And if I planned a trip to Russia and wanted to buy food or distribute it among the locals, what would happen to me? Shouldn't Putin have me arrested?

That was in the 90s after their economy collapsed. Putin has improved it hence his massive popularity there.

Waaaay to many contradictions. The U.S ran a country that was clearly defunct, while another Russian leader (Putin) had also been allowed to take over and fixed it? Let alone, I see nothing about mass starvations happening in the 1990s.
