By the way, my curiosity forced me to peak at what Youtube's channel actually looks like, and there's not a single white male.

They literally did their best to make all infographics as Black or Brown as possible.

What I dont get is the YouTube channel is about 40-50% Black or Brown people. Where are the Indians? Or Chinese? Pajeets and Corona-Language are two of YouTubes biggest markets

Which undermines that stupid lie that I hear liberals cope with about advertising and diversity which amounts to 'Well it's all about marketing to a bigger audience and making more money'. Horse shit. Indians want to see if anything literally the most White presenting Indian they can find. The lighter the better. Asians also have no interest in seeing random nogs and mostly find it off putting from what I can tell -- the famous Chinese or Korean washing machine ad comes to mind.

the famous Chinese or Korean washing machine ad comes to mind.

For the uninformed, it's this one

For those who don't believe in anti-white double standards, compare the Chinese ad to the Italian version.

Hiding the truth doesn't make it go away.

The slow morphing of the interactive internet into just the same as television or radio -- i.e. a one directional sludge pump from the powerful -- is so distressing. Many major sites no longer have comments. They're just piece by piece removing the ability for people to actually react to their crap.

This article shows some mockups of what the new engagement buttons will look like. The number of likes is still shown under the thumbs-up, but under the thumbs-down is just the word "Dislike". Only the video creator will be able to see the number of dislikes.

The article quotes a Youtube spokesperson as saying that the motivation is "because YouTube has a responsibility to protect creators, especially smaller creators, from harassment and dislike attacks". There's some blather about how this change will protect the mental health of creators, who I guess suffer mightily from artificially inflated dislikes. On the other hand, Youtube seems entirely unconcerned about artificially inflated likes. How strange...

"But, unfortunately research teams at YouTube have found that there is a whole other use for disliking that I have never experienced...."
