Hello guys, I just watched a Youtube video in which Petra the prehistoric city was mentioned. Petra is truly a fascinating place and I would love to get more details about it, since I found no further information other than the information given in the video on the Internet. There is a man on YouTube named Jay Smith he has PhD in Christian and Islamic studies and he claims that the origin of Islam is Petra.

In case you don't know when Muslims pray they are facing Mecca, but j claims that there is remains of the original mosques that actually all triangulate towards Petra.

He also claims that there is no historical evidence that Mecca or Muhammad ever existed in the year 600 whatever.
