yes, Tom, I understand fake news. I've also dug a lot of holes, and there is nothing that makes that hole look very old. The lack of dirt is unremarkable with the knowledge that it was the site of a forensic examination, and when you dig in heavy clay soil like that it very very quickly assumes a flat and undisturbed appearance. Just outside, I have a pile of clay that I dug out of a large hole to make foundations for a dog shelter, and it looked just like that picture immediately after I excavated it, although I had a much neater hole because I wasn't scared shitless when I dug it.
