Idk, that's not being branded, it's just a wristband. You get the same kind of wristband at a hospital or amusement park.

Also I am not in any way defending what's happening in China, I'm just not convinced that this specifically is the mark.

It is a wristband, and I am also not thinking this is the mark of the beast in the right hand, but it is like what we are now seeing in China, where people are referred to, not by their names, but by their number.
