Some facts for the uninformed:

  1. Rittenhouse never brought a case for defamation against Goldberg.
  2. She certainly didn't make a settlement agreement with him that involves paying him anything, much less $22 million.
  3. There is no lien on Goldberg's home.
  4. Goldberg's home is in Llewellyn Park, New Jersey, not Beverly Hills, California.
  5. She did own a home in LA from 1993 until 2018. But it was in Pacific Palisades, not Beverly Hills.

What? I thought reality was subjective? Is that not how it wokes in a Democracy?

[–]ActuallyNot 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (4 children)

Nope. Even in a democracy, there is an objective reality.

Correct. There is an objective reality in a democracy. But is that how a democracy works?

And how do out of court settlements work? And who controls the narrative?

There wasn't an out of court settlement.

Correct. As there are no court filings showing an out of court settlement. ⚖️

There wasn't an out of court settlement. The narrative is strongly influenced in this case by a twitter user misinterpreting or leveraging a satirical article.

It got community noted:.

This claim originates from a satirical article, titled “Kyle Rittenhouse Registers a Lien Against Whoopi Goldberg’s Malibu Home for $22 Million,” published on July 9, 2023, by the Dunning-Kruger Times, a subsidiary of America’s Last Line of Defense.

I loved Whoopie in her 1990 comedy/horror vehicle Whoopie Versus the Ghost, and of course her academy award winning turn in The Colored People, but since then her game has been OFF! 🤷‍♂️

You are forgetting her ground breaking and award winning police drama from 1995:

T.R: A Detective’s Tail.

Other than that, you are mostly correct.

Ever since she drank the liberal progressive Kool-Aid she has been crazy and making up bullshit.

But none of this happened in reality. So, what is the arrow of karma in this case?
