The star of David was before this date in the Hindu culture. Let's face it the Nazis never had a independent thought in their head, they simply appropriated it from the Hindus. The star is another thing. Some even say it's a star chart you need to ask a Hindu. Because n geometry it has meaning to. The Nazis simply stole it.
