Nice! Not sure about the litter in the last one

I just noticed that when posting. Intentional litter didn't seem to be much of an issue but it's windy and occasionally plastic crap would get blown along.

Fuck man, I have some accounts in Texas, and the windshield time is insane there hahahaha. Especially in West Texas.

Nice pics though.

I never heard that term before, but I was thinking it must be nice for all the workers to spend a significant amount of their time just traveling to get anywhere in such pretty country. We stayed in one of the nicest hotels I've ever been in and a significant portion of the vehicles there were company trucks presumably traveling to job sites.

Windshield time. You never get more than West Texas. 2 appointments a day tops. Hours and hours between them. It is nice. Until you start talking to yourself.

Yeah, tons of national remodeling, roofing and siding, highway work, bridge builders, and the like come from Texas.

Whole lotta workers looking like they were waiting on someone, or something, to arrive too. I saw nary a hammer swung.

Damn near everything was fenced off with barbed wire. Not much public use land I saw. Whole lotta seemingly non-working ranches and pricey homes secluded in the hills.

I didn't get any pictures of the hills since we were driving and the windshield was constantly getting splattered with bugs. It was unfortunate, I'm used to a very very flat Texas.

I'm down with the south except for: scorpions, poisonous snakes.

I've never seen a scorpion. I just heard they're supposedly migrating to a wider portion of Texas, but not sure that's not just legacy media bullshit like the whole killer bee thing that never ended up being a big deal.

And so far I haven't dealt with any poisonous snakes I didn't go looking for.

Here's a map showing scorpion prevalence in OK, TX, NM, etc: https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ykC1WfBNq6c/WgrX3wB8GeI/AAAAAAAABw0/zJpQep6LXjM5G1s1k8fIS7LDXTsOwSm0wCLcBGAs/w1200-h630-p-k-no-nu/scorpionism%2Busa.png

Looks like San Antonio and Austin has some, but it's mostly an AZ and NM thing.

Looks like there's hardly any scorpions in Texas.

Does that mean around El Paso? How hot was it?

I went to San Angelo, drove through Austin heading there and San Antonio on the way back. Temps are beautiful right now. It's not quite California weather but we haven't hit summer yet.
