Race relations is like a scab we need to stop picking at, so that it might have a chance to heal. I almost feel like race relations in the US were better 20 years ago than they are now, it was more of a non-issue back then, which should be the intended direction to take things

It constantly gets brought up because race works 100% of the time at dividing us. It's a tool for them. This "it's OK to be white" thing is the perfect trap because if someone says it doesn't matter and this is bullshit then if you're white you might feel a drive to defend it. "black lives matter" and the "all lives matter" also became a trap in a similar vain. Clever.

They know what they're doing with this shit.

it's mainly economy related. SJW shit gets pushed because dems don't want to institute leftwing economic policies and they need something to talk about. White men don't like illegal immigration because it leads to less jobs and wage growth. They don't like black people because they commit most of the crimes, but if the economy was better we could all live in gated communitieds and afford better home security and more guns to keep black people from stealing from us. Of course dmes are against those policies because putting black men in jail is bad, and having guns is bad. According to them. But notice they hate socialist bernie. If we were to have a socialist revolution of course we would need guns.

Exactly, you get it. Only it does not work 100% of the time, just "most" of the time. People are getting better at moving past it, especially as people become more aware of how it's been weaponized to conquer us.

I agree completely. I've said this before way back when I used Reddit and was attacked for it.

Race didn't feel like such a big issue in this country until Obama was elected (ironically). Culturally, I feel things changed so much after his election. All the police shootings that happened during his presidency that got major media attention too, really sparked things and they did their best to make the atmosphere black vs white.

Not a smear campaign, "It's OK to Be White" is just an excuse for racists to continue to be racist.
