The religion of Critical Theory is attacking our history and culture from every angle will not be defeated by dank memes, or thoughtful debate. We're past that point now. If our political leaders were going to do anything helpful, I've certainly seen no indication. All I have seen is grovelling and capitulation.

Anyone smart enough to figure out a path out of this "color revolution" that doesn't end in blood and tears?

Everyone is thinking about this.

I believe separation is the only path forward. Something along the lines of the Republic of New Afrika proposed in 1968. It creates a victory condition for blacks that isn't the destruction of all white people and their history.

To me, it's a logical solution, but I fully acknowledge it may not work because these are not logical times, and we're not dealing with logical people, black or white. And there's the little matter of the current occupants of the states, not all of whom are going to appreciate the idea.

But it's a good place to start.

Current African Americans who hate white people will never go for this for one single reason: they would have to stop mooching from white people.

The amount of black Americans that pay more in taxes than they receive in benefits from the gov does not even come close (by orders of magnitude) to the amount needed to sustain the African Americans that receive more in benefits than they pay in taxes (if they pay any at all). That means that in New Afrika all these people that live from white people's money would not receive free money in any amount close to what they receive now and they depend on to live.

Why would all these African Americans support this plan when it means losing the free money and having to work for a living? Specially when they can keep getting free money while accusing the people that are working for them for free of oppressors with the full support of media, cultural institutions and majority of the government?

The Liberia solution seems good to me. It lets people go home and repairs the act of transporting people far away from home across an ocean.

There are 40 million African-Americans in the U.S.. You will not be able to ship them to some foreign nation on boats.

This is where they are located: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Republic_of_New_Afrika#/media/File:New_2000_black_percent.gif

The best you can do for now is to give them control of their own territory, evacuate your people from it, and guard the borders.

Liberia still seems like the better solution to me. This solution is better than some possible outcomes though. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

eta: Ghana (and perhaps other African countries?) have also been courting the African diaspora population.

Only half of the Africans in America at most would want to go back though. First you forced them to come, then, by implementing this idea, you'd force them to go back. It will inevitably make the racial tension worse. Liberia didn't help!

LMFAO sorry for my antisemitism

It didn't? And it may not be necessary to use force. There are lots of non-forceful, cooperative, mutualistic, positive ways this could be approached that have not been explored and implemented to their potential.

And "you forced them to come" is part of the divisive propaganda-narrative, imo. The US colonies participated in the slave trade, like many others, including the African nations they came from. Perhaps an unfortunate way to go about things? Likely, and it's not something I'd want to start doing again, it's certainly not my preferred way of interacting with others, but it wasn't a one-sided thing.

Like what? Liberia proves that half of the Africans in America won't leave when given a choice.

It didn't?

Liberia is a failed state

Well staying is the default choice, isn't it? It's much more difficult to up and move. I don't know that much about the history of Liberia. It seems obvious to me that there are many positive ways this could be approached... if you don't think so that's fine, but it seems obvious enough that anyone ought to be able to ideate possibilities along these lines themselves.

Perhaps it doesn't have to be a failed state. Perhaps we can learned from what happened before. Perhaps repatriation to other established countries that are interested in taking people from the African diaspora.

I know people make mistakes when they just want to "oh we can just fix things it'll be fine let's try this overly-intellectualized idea!" but I'm not trying to do that. I also think it's silly to be a downer about everything just to be a downer.

Thanks for sharing your perspective, but it kinda seems like you're only interested in engaging here to be a not-very-invested downer on this idea just for some light entertainment. I don't really find that kind of interaction that helpful, but again thanks for sharing your thoughts. I still think there are lots of opportunities along these lines that have not yet been anywhere near fully explored or implemented, and they might create a great future for everyone involved.
