US votes against UN resolution condemning gay sex death penalty, joining Iraq and Saudi Arabia. So the Trump administration is in favor of murdering gays for being gay.

And the clarification proffered is just as bad--saying "we voted this way bc we the US gov't want to keep executing people for our own reasons." As if it's not long past time we stop "lawfully" killing people.

It's not like the USA Democrats (as a party) were ever too keen on Gays to begin with. Not to mention any ties/deals with Suadi Arabia.

It's not just the Trump administration, it's basic USA foreign politics. If a land doesn't want to deal in oil with the USA suddenly children/women/gay/human rights become an issue for the USA and within months a revolution starts. Remember Qaddafi, he only became a 'real dickhead' after he wanted to stop trading oil in dollars.

So of course the USA is against this resolution, it's their royal flush in the oil game and Saudi Arabia and Iraq are still playing along so better hold on to your cards.
