It's almost like they want us to feel alienated, and to not trust them. If the worst thing is held up as if it's the best thing, it deteriorates society and makes people lose their way psychologically. It creates feelings of confusion and mistrust, which makes people easier to control. That's all I can figure.

Here they're promoting a lack of health as the bastion of health. Which makes the people slowly lose sight of what 'healthy' actually is. They lower the bar so there is nothing to look up to, nothing to aspire toward. It creates feelings of defeatism as well, which also makes people easier to control and easier to mentally reshape.
