    Basically this. It's like these people forgot we came from an ice age. It's ok for Winter and Summer cycle but impossible for a galactic Heat / ice age?

    I read a book by Ben Elton called Gridlock when I was a teen about just that. I thought it was fantastical. Now I wouldn't be surprised if it happened.

    riiiiight after there are enough people with a quarter-million dollars to spend for a half-hour ride to make space tourism possible, this is gonna be a huge problem

    Certainly in America there are. Lots of millionaires. But because not everyone is a millionaire yet they have to keep moaning online.
