“Banning drag shows” would be unconstitutional

It is a light hearted tradition. My high school did the same thing. Several burly and hairy varsity football players did this at some event or another. This was back in the early 90's.

Back then, dressing in drag was understood to be a joke. Klinger in a dress was funny because a man in a dress is just funny. Dressing in drag was funny because a man in a dress is funny. It's not hypocracy in any way.

The bill specifically protects children from obscene, sexualized entertainment, and any attempt to conflate this serious issue with lighthearted school traditions is dishonest and disrespectful to Tennessee families,' press secretary Jade Byers told DailyMail.com

So I assume if the liberals wanted to restart this lighthearted school tradition you'd be totally cool with it? Or is schools promoting kids dressing in drag only OK sometimes?

I quoted the article and don't know how u thought I would be cool with it from that.

Sorry, I must have misunderstood your intent. The other three commenters were all defending the guy, so I wrongly assumed you were agreeing with the quote rather than being ironic. My apologies
