What do you mean? Verbal communication is not the only form of communication. Animals clearly have sexual desires which they express through actions. Dogs humping legs aren't scratching their balls.

We don't know for sure whether they can properly communicate a mating invitation to humans. And knowing some pets, do you really think they wouldn't feel pressured into doing what their owner wants? And they have no way to communicate that. And what they can communicate, people are notoriously bad at reading. I mean most people think the Daschund who's threatening you with his teeth is "smiling".

There also the question of whether they understand it enough to consent. They can't communicate enough for us to know that either. Science can try to guess, but it's all speculation.

You are inventing excuses to justify your conclusion.

Everyone experiences pressure to engage in sex. That does not inharently make it wrong. But you are also incorrectly claiming that the animal is always the one being pressured and not the one applying pressure. Again, dogs will hump humans very agressively even as the human fights them off. Are you really going to claim that this is ambiguous or that the dog is being forced to do it?
