AI is a SciFi dream up there with faster than light travel. What the marketing teams call AI is simply interactive computer algorithms that look smart until they reach the limits of their databases. The average person though has no idea of this, they get there 'science' from watching the Matrix, 2001 a space odyssey, and a thousand other moves and TV shows in between. The average person has had their mind colonized by dreams and fantasies to the point where they can no longer tell the difference between fact and fiction.

It's why they get excited by a Space-X launch of a car into orbit, the media hype leading the cheers in what was actually a pathetic example of retro rocketry, far surpassed 60 years ago by the Apollo achievements. It's why they believe solar panels made from oil are renewable and will power the planet in the face of all the evidence to the contrary. The average person today has a head full of shit basically. Their intelligence is on par with a medieval serf, and that is just where the ruling elite want them.
