Well, I'm glad Twain at least still comes up on the list..... I see what you're looking for, and off the top of my head, well it's a blank, but so close...lol.

The 2 quotes you came up with,"Show me what you value more than your freedom and I'll show you the tools of your enslavement", and "What is valued more than freedom become tools of enslavement", aren't bad in, and of themselves.

The closest I can come up with is Patrick Henry: "Is life so dear, or peace so sweet as to be purchased at the price of chains, and slavery? Forbid it, Almighty God! I know not what course others may take, but as for me, give me liberty, or give me death!"

It came up in the recording here: /s/DecentralizeAllThings/comments/cjz/how_you_are_controlled_by_your_human_rights/ It starts out alright but then gets weak and tiresome with no way to speed it up. I don't recommend listening past a couple minutes if at all.

The first quote was transcribed from this unknown voice guy. I'd heard it before too, but couldn't find it, so I assumed it wasn't an exact quote. So I shortened it, still with no luck searching.

The problem finding it is that there are a HELOVALOT of quotes about freedom.

I was reading these and assumed that the author was named above the quote. Tubman's quote threw me off for a moment.

I was looking for a quote and came up with these lists.

A search for "Show me what you value more than your freedom and I'll show you the tools of your enslavement" or even "What is valued more than freedom become tools of enslavement" comes up with nothing. Seeking citations.
