Damn, the CIA's gonna use this for their MK Ultra pedo rings, although some of their clients probably enjoy the struggle.

Where do you think those came from?

Unlucky genes + screwed prenatal hormones + the resulting trauma + incompatible puberty
[–]Canbot 7 insightful - 1 fun7 insightful - 0 fun8 insightful - 0 fun8 insightful - 1 fun - 1 year ago (3 children)
Your genes were passed down by virtue of being fit. Prenatal hormone theories are baseless bullshit. The resulting trauma is the result of your environment more than a result of your immutable chricteristics. I don't know the details of your life, but I think it is safe to say that people born in far worse circumstances than you have been successful and sane.
But we live in clown world where everyone is patronized and infantilized.
An ornithologist once shared a wonderful insight into the nature of life with this story. He raised butterflies. After all the other butterflies emerged from their cocoons he saw that one had not and was struggling to break out. So he thought he would help it by cutting the cocoon open. The butterfly escaped the cocoon with his help but it's wings never unfolded. It crawled around with its undeveloped wings until it died. Curious of the result he tried again with other butterflies and discovered that when he did this the butterflies always died. They needed to struggle with the cocoon in order to develop thier wings.
With that in mind consider the possibility of a similar effect in humans. Mental illness has skyrocketed. Why? What has changed recently?
I think it is a direct result of the enforced "compassionate" approach to deviance. "Deviance from the norms is part of nature. It is evolution. But evolution is random mutations and most random mutations result in cancer.
The disfunctional cancers and flaws created by a system designed to try to evolve through random variation are no longer corrected. Now every tumor is allowed to develop into a cancer instead of being destroyed by the immune system. In the pursuit of kindness we have destroyed the necessary safeguards and corrective systems that kept us healthy.
Is it not possible that your 9000 mental illnesses are largely symptoms of easily corrected disfunctions that survived and grew because you were "spared" the necessary struggles?
Is it possible then that the people in power are very much aware of this effect of progressivism, but welcome it because it serves thier objective of lowering birth rates and creating more easily controllable proletariat?
Is it also not possible that progressivism is designed to have that effect? That media is used to spread progressive ideas in order to induce these illnesses?
Sort of like hacking into your brain and controlling it remotely.
Food for thought.

I've had a lot of them since I was born or a very young child, so I know it can't be poor upbringing. My mood disorders maybe could've been prevented, but it would've been extremely difficult because I'm so sensitive and have all these other conditions, so it builds up from trauma. And in our society I am not allowed healthy ways to deal with these things, because it's apparently more important to act socially acceptable. Many of them I can't even admit I struggle with or people will reprimand me, even family.
I think mental illness is increasing because people have more time to think nowadays and don't have to spend every minute planning their survival. There was a short time where we had civilization mostly without people with mental sturggles because we used to beat them to death or lock them up. That is in fact the "natural" way of dealing with it, which is hardly glamorous.
What struggles do you think would've cured me of these illnesses?

I know a guy who thinks that his not liking mashed potato is a mental illness...Now I find it hard to take mental illness seriously. But if the fly sex brain thing helps some day, good for you.

It's all real for me. I almost don't want another day to come because I don't know how much longer I can take it. But since it's a woke trend now mental illness is viewed as wanting attention, because that's what most of the trenders who claim to have it are looking for. They brag about it too, as if it's an accomplishment or beneficial.

There is strength in us all that can overcome any torment and suffering. Recovering through traumatic withdrawals from benzodiazipines nearly took away my very soul, but I found someone who I care about deeply in that time and we've been together ever since, it got me through the worst of it. I jest at the mediocre gripes of the modern snowflake, but seriously, every day is worth the wait.

I never benefit anyone. I only ever have a negative effect whether I try to or not, even though some people are unwilling to accept that.
Nor do I have the strength it takes for most manners of self-sacrifice, and that's really the only possible positive that could come from my life.

Why do you feel the need to benefit other people? Generally speaking, people suck. It may be that the trying is leading to the feeling of negativity. Take up yoga, go on a vacation, read a new book and don't think about other people.

I'm currently on a vacation, but I can't take a vacation from my body or from the world. Not unless I lucid dream, but my brain won't even let me do that. I only have intelligence to enhance the pain.

During my last vacation, I ran out of sunscreen and had to buy some from a local store. All they had was oil with carrot extract. I'm still a bit orange now...that stuff turned me into an umpa lumpa.
