I don't use Google services of any kind.

Always heart-warming to see more people deciding they've had enough of the modern trend where companies get to arbitrarily revoke access to stuff which was paid for, after taking the customer's money. It's why I quit buying video games, full stop. All of them want to shove some online service up my ass just to play single player now, sometimes five of them!

Honestly I'm amazed how the public has allowed it to get to the point where someone else on the other side of the planet can disable/break your stuff any time they want.

Eh the issue is that it genuinely makes sense in some cases, which makes it more palatable in cases where it doesn't. Music streaming services for instance, especially now that they all do lossless audio, make far more sense and are a far better deal than paying individually for tracks or albums. Also makes sense for movies and tv to a slightly lesser degree, then by the time you get to video games as a service it no longer seems like the massive ripoff that everyone correctly saw it as before streaming services were as prevalent.

Google only has people checked twice a year at their meetings so there isn't any oversight anyways. They were actually caught on camera bragging about messing with election polls and deleting conservatives to prevent another '2016' from happening on their watch ever again! I saw two versions of the video. A long one which was deleted the very next day and a shorter one that was just clips.

Google has it locked firmly in their grasps.

You do not own the things you pay for.

After spending ages, I eventually give up.

But at least you're happy right?
