Shame this person had to go through all that. What does it say about a society that rewards this kind of service with this kind of toxic, identity politics crap. That being said, man/woman up and make your own decisions. You only have yourself to blame.

I think this should be punished. People like this idiot are why the movement grows so big. It's like claiming you can't walk and buy a wheelchair, only to later get tired of living that life. It's even an insult for those with real mental issues, which would never grow anywhere near an actual movement. A few years in prison should deter other idiots and help them think twice before making this decision.

Also, the doctor that affirmed this fool should also be punished to some extent. Nothing crazy, mostly to help people think a little bit more.

I just think it needs to be flipping illegal to inject male or female hormones into your body for "transitional" purposes. Top and bottom surgery should also be illegal. I think we need to crack down on this the way Russia and other countries just crack the heck down on LGB stuff being aired and promoted in public. People are making horrible mistakes. If no one were told that they're "trans", a lot of this would begin to go away.

And unlike LGB stuff, the trans phenomenon is mostly people beginning to feel this way because they were told that they can, and because they were told that this is a condition that needs surgery. When they begin to phase out of feeling this way and want their old body and life back, that's a hard road to walk.

The problem with banning transition is that it's basically the same as cosmetic surgery and the line is blurry. In my opinion, it's claiming the mental illness which is the problem. Although I wouldn't mind an anti-surgery movement, showing how much of a freak show that is anyway.

Well... if you're a woman or a man with abnormally low estrogen or t levels and you need hormones, great. But if there's nothing wrong with you and you're asking to shoot yourself up with the hormones of the opposite sex, I'd say "no".

The emotional roller coaster people go through when they realize they've permanently damaged their bodies or been left sterile is avoidable. Just don't allow them to do this in the first place. Twenty years ago, kids just experimented with hair and clothes and gait and that was it. They grew out of it, or settled into their personalities eventually. But they walked away from their teens and twenties with their junk intact, and still able to father children or give birth at the end of the day.

And they could still pee normally, and had nerve endings that worked. These body parts are crazy delicate and interconnected, and messing with them is risky. I mean.... we have had butch lesbians, swishy gay guys, and girly straight dudes / tough straight women for generations. You're telling me everyone is now automatically trans? No.
