Fire Emblem is ruining Smash Bros.

It seems like Fire Emblem takes up about 90% of the roster, and that percentage keeps rising. There's like 2 people from every other game, and 100 from Fire Emblem. Hardly anyone plays Fire Emblem compared to all the other games, so you'd think they'd go to such lengths to include every single minor character from something like Mario, not that. Why do they have to have all those Fire Emblem characters and not ones people actually want like Waluigi?

Yeah, kinda weird that Waluigi never made the cut considering he's quite recognisable. More iconic than Fire Emblem characters even though I like Fire Emblem more than Mario games. All of these Fire Emblem characters and we never got Eliwood or Ephraim. The GBA Fire Emblem games were absolutely legendary.

But I guess it makes sense that we never got to see Eliwood and Ephraim. FE7 and FE8 came out after Melee but before Brawl, so that's why sadly we will never see those two in Smash. At least we got that Lyn assist trophy though. Hector assist trophy when?

When Melee came out, no one knew who Roy was because FE6 didn't come out until a year later. He was added to Melee to essentially advertise FE6. Same thing when Corrin came out in Smash 4 and now Byleth in Ultimate. Their Fire Emblem games didn't come out until like a year later when they debuted in their respective smash games.

So now that "everyone is here" as stated in Ultimate, you now have all of these Fire Emblem characters. The whole gimmick of Ultimate was to include every single character from the previous smash games, which includes the 900000000 Fire Emblem characters from the previous smash games.

Some food for thought though, I think Fire Emblem is more popular in Japan than it is in the west, so maybe that's why smash has a boner for Fire Emblem characters since the game was made in Japan after all.

Agreed though, I never really understood why Waluigi never made the cut. Even Piranha Plant made it in. Dude was straight up mogged by a plant. Even Steve from Minecraft mogged him. It's over for Waluigicels. JFL.

At least they added Kazuya from Tekken though. I feel like that was a long time coming. At least Smash did one thing right.
