Was looking through conversations here and happened upon this in another discussion. And it really struck me.

I forget that this is the reality for everyone else online too sometimes. I get caught up in arguments and forget that we all need to be supporting each other and looking after each other right now. I've had arguments that have spilled out into a bad mood and negative interactions irl, and while I hope others are more disciplined than I (and that I get better at this), I assume other people have these experiences too.

So I'm sharing this to help others remember this too. Let's be nice to each other. (And that doesn't mean we can't have difficult conversations, but there are nice ways to have any conversation that needs having and I think it's worth choosing the nice ways right now.)

I'd also like to apologize for my part in creating a combative, argumentative atmosphere instead of a nurturing, uplifting, informative atmosphere.

Thank you! I try to be kind to others. Mostly. There are a few, though, that are shitbrains who deserve to be ignored. When I see them post stuff, I just scroll past.

If someone is being reasonable it's nice to to give them time to speak, listen to them, and be respectful.

If not, it's OK to not respond or walk away without engaging in more negativity.
