all 'psychics' are scams.

This website says the fellow (Eric) will perform a spell for you and provide photo evidence that he did the spell. I do not doubt that he would actually do this (for money), but it's a placebo. You could learn your own magic spell for free, or create one yourself, or say a prayer, or do a meditation. Wish upon a star for all the good it would do.

there are no shortcuts to success (luck favors the prepared, success happens when Preparedness meets Opportunity, and opportunity is there all the time), but stress is a major health factor. If seeing a psychic reduces stress, then good on ya! The world needs fewer stressed-out peoples.

to effect real change in your life you gotta do the work yourself; everybody loves kind words and attention and that is all a psychic can provide. If I listen to all your concerns, light some candles, and give you a spirit rock from my garden (complete with photo evidence) it might put your mind at ease, but it is all just a null endpoint for your mind to go, regarding something about which you have no power: put you at ease, that thing is out of your ability to control, but now 'protected by a spell,' so you can get on with focusing your own mental energy on solving the problem--and that is what gets it done.

At best a psychic can remove a mental (or spiritual, or metaphysical) blockage, but it's all in your head anyhow. If your mother-in-law is always a pain, well you can't change other people, put a spell on her. Now you can act-as-if, act with confidence, and it's that outward projection of your energies that gets the job done, not some spell.

If if works for you, it's not a scam, is it? But I say if you are in charge of all your faculties, mental, spiritual, and so-forth.. be your own psychic. Cast your own spells, create your own life.

"I am a man of science. At least that's what my horoscope says." A naturally good psychic will be good at The Talking Cure, psychoanalysis, etc. It's always good to get a fresh perspective--they get you talking and you might say things that clue them in to something and offer good advice, but that's not a psychic ability, that's just being a good friend.

If you need to pay money to somebody to be a good listener, give you good advice, and so-forth, that sucks. We are all psychic spiritual beings having a human experience. But we all get fast food sometimes instead of cooking for ourselves. It's not a scam if you think it helps you, but using your own psychic abilities is not much more difficult than boiling water, so buyer beware. If I offered to say a prayer to Jesus for you in exchange for money... yea that seems shady af. But people do it (televangelists), and we all call it a scam. How is this any different?

Back in the days where I was searching for truth, in physics, cosmology, and all published religions, a psychic taught me how to meditate. Weeks later I was able to do it. The brain is layered. We can tap into more of our brain and do more when we relax completely and stop talking to ourselves in our mind. That means to stop thinking, focus on feeling and vision. That's when the magic happens naturally, without any drug influences.

you got the 'stop thinking' down, good on ya.

I agree with both of you. He wasn't saying we are psychic. I think it's true about the mind being muti-layered. Like you said, when we remove the mental barriers we have learned to put up, our minds can do some amazing things. I recommend a book by Malcolm Gladwell called "Blink". It really helped me with "paralysis by analysis", or overthinking things to a point of non-action; keeping me from doing the things I wanted or the things that helped me get ahead.

that is amazing you would recommend a Malcolm Gladwell book, I already have one of his books, so I will definitely check it out. Thanks!

I try to meditate since 15 years now and don't get it right. This seems just impossible for my mind.

Meditation is a serious thing. Psychics are just betraying you with some mind tricks or sleight of hand.

If you spend money on them its your own loss, imo.

It's entertainment. People really get into hobbies like cosplay, video games like WOW, movies like StarWars, and other fanciful things they really thrown themselves into and allow for a certain amount of suspension of disbelief.

However, some people spend their life savings, or do other harmful things because they believe in supernatural things. At that point it is pathological. Never spend money you need for more important things, like fixing your car or going to the doctor. If the loss of that money makes your life worse it's always a scam.

I think it is a shame how much derision people get when they choose to surround themselves with mystical things, play along with the lore, or enjoy the "magic" of it all. Far more than having movie posters, video game figurines, and stacks of playing cards. And it is really no different than religious paraphernalia.

Personally I think you should dance naked around a fire in the woods.
