The contrast to Jennifer’s own childhood was staggering, “Where were all these trans kids who were not allowed to be their true selves when I was in school in the 1980s? There were no suicides in my high school. We have to question why this is suddenly happening.”

Wow what a great article I feel like every parent needs to read this. Its so easy with social media to get sucked right in to any group its just unfortunate that this one is life altering. Not a little dyed hair and a few edgy piercings.

This is why every parent needs to read this account, there were NEVER this many 'trans kids' in history, and its not because gluts of children have thought they were the other gender.

Tomboys and Karendudes have existed since the beginning of time, but they were NOT people who were born with this socalled 'gender disphoria'. It's children who are being peer pressured by other students, AND their teachers into becoming something they're not. If it isnt okay for these teachers to talk to 12 year olds about how they have sex, why is it okay for them to be telling these children ABOUT their sexuality/wrongly born genders and taking hormones?

I'm slightly glad the Russians have picked up the trans nonsense for their psyops. A lot of anti establishment types in the West assume trans activists are on their side when in fact the entire establishment in the US and Canada now repeat that ideology and its gaining power in most other western counties. The ideology is authoritarian in regards to free speech rights, thought crimes and regressive in terms of sexism.

Which ideology are you referencing, specifically? Just because something is published on RT doesn't necessarily mean it is Russian propaganda. Sure it's there, but many people have gone on RT because they were censored by western media. I'm skeptical of any news source, but I think we can also learn from hearing from a variety of different viewpoints.

Trans ideology is that every single person has an inborn gender identity which overrides everything else about them so their body, family, friends, colleagues all have to be changed to cater to it or they will kill themselves.

I don't mean that RT publishing a story casts doubt on it, I've worked with some of their filmmakers myself, rather they are quite clever about picking up divisive issues in the West and running with them to purposely cause discord. Often they will publish both sides for extra trolling. But it has a good side effect if it means sensible ideas which have been silenced by the western media get further reach.

I think you have been fooled by the reddit trans lobbytm. Trans Moderators are only .13% of the population, but they are over 54% of reddit supermods.

The children should be trans and on hormones argument is not as popular as you think it is.

There's a generational split. The young are usually completely brainwashed in this stuff.

The point is it causes discord because the debate is so emotive, not necessarily because of the ratio is small or views are popular.

Russia has also sent their bot farms on both pro and anti Trump, both pro and anti BLM, etc, anything which causes a lot of noise. RT helps out with these tactics.

i'd take everything on rt with a grian of salt, given how few big russian tech ceos lasts over a year. i'd recommend joe rogan's view on this issue.

My analysis of RT is basically that they'll run literally anything that is against the US establishment as long as it looks professional. Sometimes their stories are good, sometimes they are pretty poor yet at least are written well. A mixed bag, but one that can be fun and useful to go through.

I only know one transgender person. He would be a perfectly normal lesbian if he didn't think he should be a boy. I have nothing but compassion for his circumstances. They can't make him a real boy and they can't make him happy being a girl. He's a good kid. He didn't ask for any of this.

I have a slightly different take on all of this. I think the transgender woke movement is the alternative to admitting psychology is all but useless. If gender dysphoria isn't a mental illness though, it goes off the tall stack of ailments that psychology regularly fails to treat and into a different category.

I think there's more behind this than liberal teachers. Just like how depression got pushed in the 90s to sell antidepressants. Never before had so many people suddenly been so depressed. Same thing with trans.

One of my favorite books is Steel Beach by John Varley. In it, the main character decides to change his gender to a woman. Except in that fictional universe, they have the technology to do it. We don't and we should stop pretending we do.
