That is an extremely reductive definition of stoicism. That is the Alcoholics Anonymous mantra, not an accurate description of Greek stoic school of philosophy

Stoicism in Greece came about once theirs culture was in decline so the opportunity for greatness seemed out of reach. The first cope.

No, it's essentially matrix worship. It's useful for making life more tolerable, but it's a lie. And it seems like one that would keep you here longer rather than help you leave.

Accepting things like that is impossible. Those who say they have are only lying to themselves. It's not useless because it does make things more tolerable, but it's still a lie.

Buddhists frequently riot and turn to violence, I'm not sure I'd call that coping.

Don't fall for the new age toxic positivity pantheism either. "Bad doesn't really exist," which is exactly what Stoicism says.

I do tend to believe that the absolute truth does not exist. Especially from a scientific perspective. I can measure something and get a different measurement each time. For example.

Heaven can't exist on earth. Even what looks like Heaven is actually Hell in disguise.

How would you know what heaven looks like?
 
Also, 'heaven on earth' and 'hell on earth' are both expressions of different living conditions on earth
- Where/how you are living - drab as it maybe to you - could be described as 'heaven on earth' by others who are in dire straits
