You can't predict population growth from just fertility rates - you need to account for life expectancy. I'm guessing if you adjusted for life expectancy you're prediction would look a whole lot different, because there aren't that many Africans, and the fertility rate being high isn't a new thing there

    Relatively. Thats an entire continent. India and China have that many people in a just one country despite having lower birthrates, and those countries are nowhere near the size of Africa

    True, but I was surprised to find that Africa is the second most populated continent.

    Its higher than I thought as well, I didn't think Africa was developed enough to achieve that population density

      Even with the growth, India and China are still projected #1 and #2 even by 2100
